The Minster Oktoberfest Jug Hoist is held each year on Oktoberfest Saturday at roughly 4:00PM, immediately following the Beer Tray Relay on Fourth Street.
SIGN UP BEGINS DURING BEER TRAY RELAY
The Men's and Women's champion from the previous year is automatically entered if they choose to participate. Otherwise, the first 20 people signed up for Men's and Women's categories are entered. Contestants are brought onto the judging platform in the order in which they signed up, five contestants at a time.
MINSTER OKTOBERFEST JUG HOIST RULES:
- Must be 21 Years Old
- No Gloves
- Must stand straight/body cannot lean back
- Arm NOT holding jug must remain at your side
- Knees must be locked
- Hold the jug with two fingers - The Index and Middle Fingers
- Thumb cannot touch the jug
